Candy Corn Chocolate Suckers!!!

I picked up this candy mold from Hobby Lobby when it was on sale awhile back. I totally forgot about it, until I was getting my fall decorations out on Sunday. So, of course, since I am super inpatient... we already made some. So fun!

I did check and they still have the molds at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 this year if you want to pick one up for your family. They even have a 40% off coupon this week, HERE.

ENJOY! We sure did. :)

College Sweatpants w/ Heat Transfer

My niece Nicole is a freshman at GVSU (Grand Valley State University), where my husband and I also attended. So, I knew I had to make up some cool GVSU gear for my girls. They had some $3 blue sweatpants from Target, so for super cheap, I made them these. :)

I just cut out the letters on printable heat transfer paper, mine was already white which was the color I wanted (blue and white are GVSU colors), but you could print anything you want onto the paper and then cut it out. I just cut them out, then peeled the letters off the backing and lay it on the fabric. I put a thin piece of fabric on top of the letters and then ironed it for about 20 seconds. And that's it! SO easy and quick!

I LOVE how they turned out, and am super excited to have the girls wear them this week to go and visit Nicole at GVSU.

Cinderella Party!!!

Molly turned 3 on Thursday!!! We had my family and a few friends over for a Cinderella birthday party. It was a lot of fun, and Molly was so excited to dress like Cinderella!

Cousin Cassie came over to do Molly's hair like Cinderella.

Coolest Cinderella cake ever, thanks to Emily from CakeOccasions.

We had cake, ice cream sundae bar and cookies for dessert. YUM-O.

Cinderella coloring page, and sticker activity for Molly and her cousins to do.

For dinner Molly picked, "Meat on Buns," as she calls them... Sun Chips and Grapes. :) Smart girl!

Molly loved opening gifts. She even opened the cards first and said thank you. I was so proud of her.

Nora and her Great-Grandma Timmer matched in denim, so adorable. :)

And Nora was working hard practicing crawling at Molly's party.
She is SO close.

Birthday Eve....

Tomorrow is Molly's 3rd birthday! This year milestone is truly a celebration, who would have thought last year at this time all the things Molly would have to go through while she was 2. I am the luckiest mom in the world to have such an amazing daughter, and I hope 3 is a lot easier on her.

This year she choose to have a Cinderella birthday party, Molly LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Cinderella. I am having a lot of fun putting it together. (tonight, hehe, it's been a crazy few weeks and I am the queen of procrastination) I'll post pictures after the party tomorrow.

For lack of time to do an original post... Here is a quick peek from her last few birthday parties.

Her 2 year old party was Puppy Themed, you can read that post HERE. Last year Molly loved dogs and couldn't get enough of them.

From the Puppy Invitations

To the fun doggie cupcakes!

For Molly's first birthday, we had a Ducky theme. Molly has always loved water and bubble bathes, so this was the perfect 1st birthday party for her...

Yup, I'm put googly eyes on those ducks... I am crazy!

Aren't these duck cookies, A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E

Molly's favorite part was the bubbles...

Molly's Miracle "Fun"draiser!!!

Last week was a crazy, fast, busy, amazing week!!! Friday night my sister, aunts, cousins, mom and friends threw the most amazing fundraiser for Molly at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. Over 500 people were there! I can't believe all the wonderful people that showed up to support Molly!
We can't even begin to know how to thank you all!!!

Here are some pictures from the event!

Here is part of the silent auction that raised over $2,000 for Molly's medical bills.

They had yummy popcorn from Celebration Cinema and pop/water for sale.

They had Team Molly shirts, baseball style and ones with the logo (like Molly's below). We still have these for sale if you are interested, they are $15 each.

And of course, SO much fun stuff to play with at the museum!!!

And, lots of love and support from family and friends!

Thanks again to everyone who came or was a part of this great night!!! And a special thanks to the committee of family and friends who worked SO hard to put this together, and my fantastic event planning sister, Aunt Beth!!! You are all AWESOME!!!

First Day of Preschool!

This morning was Molly's first day of preschool! She was SO excited. Today she only went for 1 hour with me, so it was a nice way to get adjusted. Thursday will be her first normal day, then she will go every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 1/2 hours. She is already talking about seeing her friends again. I am a little nervous, but I know she will do great, and it will be good for her to have time with other kids and work on learning to listen and follow directions from the teacher.

Terra Cotta Coasters!

I made up some new coasters today, to prepare for the Halloween decor to come in a few weeks. I've made tons of tile coasters and love them, but when I saw how to make these coasters from Sweet Charli, I just HAD to made some. They are so clever, and I couldn't pass up the idea.

I spray painted 4" terra cotta coasters I got for super cheap at lowes, with black spray paint. Then I cut out circles of fun Halloween paper to fit in the centers. (who am I kidding, I didn't cut them, I used the Silhouette I won from the Idea Room!!!!, I am SO lucky!!) Then I modge podged the circles onto the centers. Once they were completely dry, I sprayed them with sealer, and glued cork circles to the bottoms.

So easy, and SO many options of paint colors and paper.
I see many more of these in my future. :)

Team Edward / Team Jacob Blocks!!

So this year, I am working hard to try to make most of my Christmas gifts for family and friends. My friend Sarah is getting ready to move to Washington in October for work, so when she comes to visit next weekend I have her Christmas gift ready for her to take along.

She is a HUGE Twilight fan, so I made these fun Team Edward/Team Jacob blocks. They are on the same blocks, so you can just flip it over to change teams, heehee. I just painted two pieces of 4x4 with black craft paint, and then put vinyl words on them. So easy!

Here is side one, Team Edward!

And side 2, Team Jacob!

I am so excited to give them to her, with a handmade red scarf. I think she will love them. I got this fun idea from Lyndsey's Craft Spot.

Crochet Baby Hat

(Nora wearing her new hat)

They have a great tutorial and printable PDF pattern for this adorable hat over at Aesthetic Nest, with lots of pictures. I LOVED it, so I called up my amazing mother-in-law and begged her to make one for Nora. She was more than happy to, and whipped this one up in only an hour! I am so jealous, I love crafting, but sadly my knitting and crochet skills end with straight scarfs, lol. :)

The flower on the side is my fav. I think it adds so much, now I'm thinking she needs a black one.

Here is just one more picture of Nora wearing her hat this weekend, I couldn't choose which one I loved most. :)

Fall To Do List!!! (w/printable)

We had so much fun with the magnet Summer To Do List and Printable we made, that I decided to make a Fall To Do List for Sept.-Nov. I had some pumpkin cutouts from a craft years ago, so I just cut out the activities and pictures I made, and glued them onto the pumpkins. Then laminated and added magnets to the back. We put ours on the fridge, and then after we finish the activity we move it to the freezer.

If you want a printable of the ones I made you can go HERE. A few are West Michigan activities, and there are not quite as many as the Summer list since we get busy with school and other activities in the Fall. What's on your Fall To Do Lists?

(Yeah, so Molly just woke up, but actually wanted her picture taken, so I couldn't pass it up :), bed head and all! )

Chihuly Glass Art

I took these pictures awhile ago at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI, but haven't had a chance to post them yet. They are having a art exhibit through October 31, 2010 featuring Dale Chihuly's glass art. Here are a few of my favorites...

Isn't it AWESOME!!!!
